An event cannot be run without dedicated officials and in the Brooker's, DA is well represented! Eric will be at the Games as a referee as part of his FINA Technical Diving Committee Role and Gillian has been selected by FINA to Judge. All the best to you both!

1 - Domonic Bedggood

Domonic Bedggood has been dreaming for a long time of competing at an Olympic Games. First as gymnast, and then due to injury, refocussing on a diving pathway.

2 - James Connor

US based James Connor will be a leader amongst our team as a second time Olympian. As a 17 year old, he made his debut in London and 4 years later he heads to Rio with new World Championship and World Cup experience.

3 - Melissa Wu

Melissa Wu is one of Australia's most celebrated divers. She burst on to the scene as a 14 year old at the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games and has gone from strength to strength.

4 - Brittany O'Brien

A whirlwind few days has seen Brittany O'Brien take her place in the diving section of the Australian Olympic Team

Us Australian's like to think of ourselves as a welcoming bunch - and so it is with Kevin Chavez.

O’BRIEN WAKES TO BEST NEWS – SHE’S OFF TO RIO

No teenager likes to be woken up by her parents, but 18-year-old Brittany O’Brien was prepared to cut her dad some slack early on Sunday morning. After all, he’d just burst in to tell his daughter she was off to Rio with the Australian diving team.

6 - Grant Nel

Grant Nel is definitely the "dad" of the Australian Diving Team, having competed at 5 World Championships, 4 World Cups and 2 Commonwealth Games.

Broben out of Rio

Disappointing news for all Australian Diving fans tonight, with Brittany Broben forced to withdraw from the Australian Olympic Team with a recurrence of a shoulder injury.

7 - Esther Qin

Esther Qin has been a regular fixture in the Australian Diving Team for the last 3 years and has a Commonwealth Gold and a World Championships 4th to her name

8 - Maddison Keeney

One day less to go so let's say hi to Maddison Keeney! Maddi is competing in 2 events in Rio and is first out of the blocks with synchro partner Anabelle Smith.

Up first, is Melbourne's own Anabelle Smith! Most people know this mad Richmond Tigers fan simply by Belle.

Wu leads four Olympians and five rookies to dive at Maria Lenk Stadium

A mixture of experience and excited debutants have been named in the diving section of the 2016 Australian Olympic Team today. Five rookies, three Olympians off to their second Games and one Olympian off to her third Games make-up the five female and four male divers to wear the green and gold in Brazil.
