Three medal haul brings Australia’s World Cup campaign to an end

Olympic bronze medallists Maddison Keeney and Anabelle Smith won a gold medal in the women’s 3-Metre Springboard Synchronised at the Diving World Cup 2024 Super Final in Xi’an (CHN).
It was one of three medals won by Australian athletes over the course of the three-day event, with bronze medals also won in the Team Event and Women’s 3-Metre Springboard.
Aussie duo Keeney and Smith topped the podium ahead of their USA rivals with a total score of 284.67 points. Their win denied the host nation a clean sweep at this meet.
Keeney featured on the podium in all three of Australia’s medal results, scoring 291.15 points in the individual event of the Women’s 3-Metre Springboard.
In the Team Event, Keeney joined Kurtis Mathews, Cassiel Rousseau and Emily Meaney to continue Australia’s strong run of success in this event.
The Diving World Cup 2024 Super Final was the final stanza of a three-part World Aquatics Series featuring the top 18 qualified athletes in individual events and top eight in the synchronised and team events from rounds in Montreal and Berlin.
Aussie athletes now return to Australia where their next major focus is the Olympic Trials which will be held in Adelaide from 6-9 June.
