Olympian Nikita Hains is the latest to join a distinguished list of athletes as the latest member of the 2022 Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship and Mentoring Program.

“I am so grateful to be the recipient of the Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship for 2022,” Hains said.

“To have been chosen amongst a group of such talented athletes is humbling and I am thankful for the opportunity to connect with previous and current athletes in this prestigious group.”

Australian divers have a long history of inclusion in the program, most recently Alysha Koloi was a member of the 2021 class with Cassiel Rousseau a member in 2019.

“We are thrilled to have Diving Australia National Squad Member and Olympian Nikita Hains as a recipient of the Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship for 2022,” Diving Australia CEO David Bell said.

“Nikita has been a consistent riser in the Australian diving ranks throughout her career which culminated in her selection to the Tokyo 2020 Australian Olympic Team earlier this year.

“Since Nikita came to diving after a successful career in gymnastics, she has shown grit and determination well beyond her years and has become a role model for the Australian diving community.

“Nikita’s addition to the Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship class of 2022 is a testament to her outstanding achievements and future growth in our sport.”

Diving Australia wishes to extend our congratulations to Nikita and our deepest thanks to the Sport Australia Hall of Fame for their continued support of Australian divers.
