NextGEN AUSComGames Squad 2015

Diving Australia is pleased to announce the members of the NextGEN AUSComGames Squad for 2015.

This Squad is a new initiative of the Australian Commonwealth Games Association and is designed to assist those junior athletes who have the potential to be selected in future Australian Commonwealth Games teams in 2018 or 2022.

One of the aims of the squad is to provide some members of the Squad international competition experience so that they understand the conditions and environment which they will face as seniors;

The ACGA will also provide some additional benefits to all members of the NextGEN AUSComGames Squad.

Members of the Diving Squad include DA National Squad members Georgia Sheehan, Teju Williamson, Emily Meaney and Joshua Kehagias. Georgia won gold, silver and bronze medals in the 2014 World Junior Championships. At the recent 2015 National Open Championships, Georgia, Emily and Joshua performed very strongly to achieve their National Squad status and Teju acheived the criteria in the Brisbane Domestic Grand Prix earlier this year.

Diving Australia would like to acknowledge the generous support of the Australian Commonwealth Games Association and commend them for their ongoing support of junior divers aspiring to compete for Australia at the 2018 or 2022 Commonwealth Games.
