The next generation of Australian divers have impressed at the 2022 Australian Elite Junior Championships in Sydney.

After two years of limited national competitions, it was a great opportunity for the country’s best junior divers to come together for the 4-day competition.

Diving Australia CEO David Bell said: “Thank you to everyone who took part in the 2022 Australian Elite Junior Championships.

“Special mention must go to the officials and volunteers who make this event possible, as well as the parents and coaches who help our next generation of Australian divers to pursue their dreams. Thank you also to Diving NSW for being excellent event partners.

“Competitions like this are always great, and it was reassuring to see so much talent coming through the ranks.

“Congratulations to all of our competitors, and to those medalists and winners. I look forward to next years’ event,” he said.

Across the four days, athletes went head to head in the 3-Metre, 1-Metre and Platform events, in the Girls A, Girls B, Girls C, Girls D, Boys A, Boys B, Boys C and Boys D divisions.

As well as the individual events, divers teamed up to compete in the 3-Metre and Platform Synchro events.
