International Youth Diving Meet Dresden comes to a close

10 Australian youth athletes have completed competition at the International Youth Diving Meet. Held in Dresden, the competition ran from April 24th - 29th with members from the Junior National Squad attending.
Alexandria Sando, Frank Burton, Maggie Grey and Zafar Marikar started the competition with a win in the Teams Event. The Australian Team scored 325.00, 7.2 points ahead of Great Britain to secure the gold medal.
Australia’s second gold medal of the competition was achieved by Maggie Grey in the Girls B Platform event. Grey scored 368.80 in the final, an incredible 66.45 points clear of Germany’s Jule Eisenberg in second place.
Keira Wang added a silver medal to Team Australia’s haul, taking home second place in the Girls 3-Metre Springboard event.
Rounding out Australia’s podium finishes, Hannah Smith achieved third place in the Girls A Platform and Alexandria Sando added a bronze medal to her haul by taking out third place in Girls A Platform.
