Diving Australia welcomes Teri Crilly to new role

Published Wed 17 Apr 2019

Diving Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of Teri Crilly to the newly created role of Manager, Athlete Wellbeing and Engagement / Child Safe Sport.

Teri comes to diving after an incredible career as a professional ballerina with the Queensland Ballet. She danced many and varied roles in her time with the Company and progressed from trainee to company dancer to soloist where she retired as one of the most recognisable and favourite dancers of the Company. After retiring from dancing, Teri moved into a stakeholder relations and wellbeing role again with the Queensland Ballet. She is a passionate advocate for the wellbeing of athletes and was the driving force in instituting several wellbeing, mentoring and personal development initiatives with the Queensland Ballet. Something that had not existed before.

Living her wellbeing passion, she ensured she was ready for life after dancing by studying a number of qualifications – including a Certificate IV in Athlete Wellbeing, mental health first aid, and gaining her strength and conditioning accreditation. Not content there, she is also currently completing a Bachelor of Psychology and an Advanced Diploma in Leadership and Management.

Diving Australia was overwhelmed by the quality of applicants for this role. Teri’s engaging personality and obvious passion for the wellbeing of athletes and children made her a clear choice.

Teri will commence with Diving Australia shortly.
