Club Achievement Award Nominations Now Open

Published Wed 23 Mar 2022

Nominations are now open for the Diving Australia Club Achievement Award.

The award for Australian Diving Club of the Year will be presented at the awards function for the 2022 Australian Age Championships to be held in Adelaide April 21-24

Unlike diver of the year awards, the Club Achievement Award does not recognise only results, but rather outstanding contributions to the Australian diving community, resilience in times of adversity, and a commitment to the development and participation of Australian athletes.

Queensland’s RAPS Diving Club were recognised with the Award in 2021.

Diving Australia CEO David Bell said the award looks to recognise a diving club that has gone above and beyond in the recent calendar year.

“It has been a challenging past two years for our Australian diving community, and perhaps most challenging for our member clubs who have battled pool closures, staffing changes, and a general sense of uncertainty” Bell said.

“This award is an opportunity for us to take a step back, reflect, and applaud a club who has remained steadfast in providing opportunities to people of all ages who want to be part of our sport.”

Nominations close April 22, the nomination form is now available on the 2022 Australian Age Championships event page.
