Australian high diver Rhiannan Iffland has had an extraordinary day in Qatar, taking out the gold medal for 2024 Women’s World High Diving Championships.

The win in Doha today is Iffland’s fourth consecutive World High Diving Championships win, becoming the first athlete in High Diving in history to achieve the feat.

32-year-old Iffland led the competition from start to finish with a final score of 342.00, an impressive 21.30 points ahead of silver medalist Molly Carlson (CAN) and Jessica Macaulay CAN) in third.

Iffland said that becoming a four-time world champion in only four tries was “a big accomplishment,” adding, “I knew it was gonna be a fight, so it makes it a bit more rewarding. I’m really proud that I fought for it and didn’t give up.”
