19th Fina World Cup - Wrap Up

The 19th Fina World Cup has now concluded and the Australian Diving Team has put in a mighty effort!
After the early highlight of Maddison Keeney and Anabelle Smith's Bronze Medal, the fantastic Melissa Wu claimed Australia's second medal with Bronze in the Women's 10m final. Lara Tarvit finished 8th in the final in an excellent performance.
Grant Nel dived well in the Prelims and snuck into the final in 12th place where he improved one spot to finish 11th in a high quality field - with a benchmark event personal best of 449.10.
In the last event for the Australians, Maddison Keeney and Esther Qin contested the Women's 3m and both made it the Semi Finals with Keeney scraping into the Final in 12th. Qin finished just outside of the final.
In the final held earlier today, Keeney put in a composed and impressive performance to finish just outside of the medals in 4th place with an international personal best of 346.00.
A huge result for Australia finishing equal 5th on the medal table with:
Two Bronze Medals (Wu and Smith/Keeney)
Two 4th places (Keeney and Wu/Bugg)
One 8th (Tarvit)
​One 11th (Nel)
​One 16th (Qin)
