COLE LANDS DIVING TRIFECTA AT MASTERS GAMES Perth diver Eliza Cole has stamped herself as the diver of the 16th FINA World Masters Championships in Kazan, winning three individual gold medals in a dominant display. 29-year-old Cole, competing in the 25-29 age category, won gold medals in the 1-metre, 3-metre and 10-metre platform events to underline her versatility. Cole, who works as a GP in Perth and tries to train three times a week, opened her gold medal raid with victory in the women’s 1-metre springboard, finishing 70 points ahead of her closest rival. The following day Cole won gold in the 3-metre springboard, this time finishing 80 points ahead of her nearest challenger in a dominant display of consistent diving. And to complete the trifecta, Cole took out the platform final with a score of 331.40, more than 90 points ahead of the silver medalist.

Diving Australia are looking for young people between the ages of 8 – 15 years who have the ability to be fast tracked for the QLD, WA & SA National Elite Pathway Programs (NEPP) by testing for the skills that show they are suitable for the sport.
